Question:

Who is Joss Whedon? I never watch his shows?

Answers:

Joss Whedon was born on June 23, 1964. His parents called him Joe. His father, Tom Whedon (The Dick Cavett Show, Alice, Benson, The Golden Girls) was a screenwriter and TV producer in Hollywood, where he lived with Joss's half-brothers Zach, who graduated from Wesleyan College with a degree in film studies, and Jed, who is a musician. Joss lived in Manhattan with his mother, Lee Stearns, and his brothers, Samuel, a musician, and Matthew, a writer.

Joss began high school at Riverdale High in New York, but transferred to Winchester College in Winchester, Hampshire, UK. He graduated from Winchester and returned to the US to pursue his bachelor's degree. Joss graduated from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut in 1987 with a B. A. in Film Studies.

Joss began his career in a video store. He moved on to write for Roseanne, and put on his producer hat for the sitcom Parenthood. He first acted in the Angel episode "Through The Looking Glass," playing Numfar of the Deathwok clan.

Joss, whose self-chosen name is Chinese for "Lucky," currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Kai Cole, and their two children. Ms. Cole is a designer and student of architecture. The family shares its home with more than one cat.
