he is the son of a former aussie pm and used to go out with danni minogue when they acted in home and away together in the late 1980s. then he moved to the usa to act in charmed whilst married with a small child to another actress. shannen doherty, the main star of charmed, took a shine to him as did his on-screen love interest in chrmed allyssa milano. rumour has it that milano turned up in a coat and naked undernneath to woo him and he apologised saying that he was currently entertainning shannen doherty. they had an affair that lasted long enoough to break his marriage to the mother of his child. since then doherty was fired from charmed mainly due to jealousy or hostility between her and milano on-set and he stayed on a few more series and then left to star in nip/tuck as well as supporting roles in some hollywood movies. his looks have remained smouldering but his eyebrows are vulnerable to over-grooming especiaally of late. he is one of the best looking guys on tv or film though for sure - typical leo male!.
