There were no cables and harnesses, Michael invented these anti-gravity lean shoes or whatever they're called. He even got a patent for them. They're kinda magnetic and there's a certain spot on the stage where they kinda hook on and allows him to lean like that. If you watch his Dangerous concert from Bucharest, you'll see that there are no cables or harnesses. He didn't have enough time to put all that on between the time they danced and the time they leaned while the guy with the dreadlocks was distracting the crowd as they went into the darkness to prepare to lean. It was no more than 10 seconds that they had. All of the dancers leaned too.
