my name in tommy and my girlfriends name is geena. we were listening to punk rock 101 by bowling for soup and a line is "Like Tommy and Gina they're living on a prayer " i was like thats cool and thought nothing of it but then in bon jovi's its my life it says "For Tommy and Gina who never backed down "
im just wondering is this just coincidence or are these to names something special. maybe the names of both bands producers or something idk

Tommy and Gina are the chacters Jon wrote about in his hit Living On A Prayer. So, when Jon wrote It's My Life, he was referencing that song and those characters. Same for Bowling For Soup's song. They were referencing the same song, and even put the song in the lyrics, so you would know what they were talking about.
