Answers:

I just checked the version of the front page cached by google and this is what it said

Ouch, this is hard for me to say, but I feel I must say it sooner or later. It might as well be now.

The long and short of it is that I am shutting down the Hand Puppet Theatre. It's had a terrific and long run (almost six years, I believe!) but I think it's time for me to finally put a close on this chapter. I've been debating doing this for awhile, and I think I'll feel better once it's actually done.

Why: It's not anything big or frightening. To put it short, I don't have the time, money or interest to continue it. Time is more of an issue now than ever since I'm back in school and really need to do well, here, and same with money. The biggest part really is interest: I've had lots of fun doing this, but I've just lost interest and moved on to other venues. I'm still snarking away and drawing, just perhaps not in this form. ;)

I know this will upset some people, especially with so many terrific big movies coming out recently (I saw Spider-Man 3, and PotC 3 and the next Harry Potter film are definitely on the horizon!) but I'd rather not put out anything at all then put out something that's not even funny because I only put mediocre effort into it. Fans deserve better than that!

When: While I'm not certain, I am hoping to have the site officially taken down and squared away one week from now. My schedule is wonky, so I don't know if that will actually happen. This is just a fair warning that the site will disappear soon, whether by the end of next week or by the end of this month. So if you'd like to look through your favorite shows again, now is the time!

How: I really wanted to have the old puppet shows available for download, but because of stuff like source files and images, that just won't be feasible. Really sorry about that! As for some of the more side-related stuff, such as Yoshi the Pokemon Slayer and my old X-Files fanfic, that will probably be taken down indefinitely. Most of my current fanfic is for Kingdom Hearts, under the Organization VI name.

Otherwise: I will announce when the site will be taken down on both my LiveJournal and my deviantART account. So, feel free to keep a watch on those! In fact, I spend most of my time there anyways, so if you want to see any of my future work and plans, you can just check those out! If you'd like to email me, you're free to do so as well.

Also, you may or may not recall the "Operation Comic Book" deal I had going back several years ago. Anyways, at least some of it has come to fruition! The previously-unnamed "werewolf comic" now has a title, and it has a home on the web! You can read Lunargyros on the Wirepop.com site, along with a ton of other great online manga series! So thanks, puppet show fans, for helping this story see the light of day! :D

I hope people understand this decision, and I am sorry for any disappointment caused. Thank you SO MUCH for all these years of movie parody fun! I couldn't have asked for a better internet audience! :D
