and did you get a response from him [in his own handwriting of course?]

No, but I just moved to St Pete, FL & I just found out he owns 2 homes in Casey Keys, which is about 65 miles from where I live. I could write to him & see if I get a response or better yet, take a ride to Casey Keys, since he does frequent some of the areas establishments. Perhaps I'll run into him.
