I wouldn't say that she has hit rock bottom, just that she isn't making the best choices in films at the moment. Part of the problem I think is that Hollywood tends to type cast the more beautiful actresses in roles that fail to showcase their range. This is something that happens to plenty of women in hollywood after they win or are nominated for an oscar: Nicole Kidman, Charlize Theron, Angelina Jolie, etc. I think that's why there is this trend now where they feel that they have to play "ugly" in order to have people notice their talent rather than be distracted by their appearance.
