She is not that good, and plus she acts all high and mighty when her guests come on the show, like its such a privelege to be sitting next to oprah. i cant believe they pay her that much. tyra is way better than her and much more humble....she deserves it more...
Answers: No one deserves $260 million dollars a year!That's freaking insane!!! You cant spend that much in 5 lifetimes, Its ridiculous how we pay television stars that much and 75% of Americans are struggeling financially, our priorityes are all screwed up!
How does she derserve it? How hard has she really worked, I mean Im not saying her job is a cake walk but I know far more people, my father included who work extremely hard every day, back breaking work, not sitting on a couch disscussing celebrities personal lives!

When your that famous and wealthy you have to donate to charitys or else you'd be a selfish, cold dragon! Maybe build a school in Africa? SHE IS A WOMEN Honey Please Oprah has worked for every dime of that money she came up from dirt poot to what she is today. She doesnt get paid for what she does she pays herself. She owns Harpo studios, O mag, and so much more. She opened her own school in Africa for girls. Have you done that? So she can act high and mighty what has Tyra done except talk about diet, fashion etc. Dont get me wrong I love Tyra she is one of my role models as well but if you look at early Oprah shows. It's just like the Tyra Show. Tyra wants to be like Oprah this is not hear say Tyra said it herself. Dont bash Oprah baby you should try to be like her. "Deserves" in this context means "earns by producing so much money for everyone involved that it means big profits" -- Oprah is worth what she makes because someone is willing to pay her for what they get from her. And the reason they are willing to pay her is because they will make a profit by doing so. Advertisers pay her because when they advertise on her show they make more money in sales than the ads cost. And so on and so on right down the line in everything that she is paid to do.
If Tyra could product more profits for more people, she'd get more money.
Personally, I find no appeal in anything Oprah does. But that doesn't change a thing. All I can say is It Must Be Nice! I'd have an animal
sanctuary as I am sure you would.
Though I do think getting paid that much is outrageous but
that's the way it goes. Shes worked hard for her money and does a lot of good for people with it. Nobody "pays Oprah" Her showbiz activities operate through HER own company Harpo Enterprises. Income through the company is hers because SHE is the company.
Having said that I don't particularly like Oprah myself. I think that she has gotten too big for her own boots as a result of her phenominal success in showbusiness, and she uses her money and her celebrity to get into things she's got no business getting into. She may be a good businesswoman, but I don't think she is particularly intelligent or clever in regard to other aspects of her life, and I have rarely found the opinions she expresses on various things logical, rational or sound.
Actually the major part of her success can be defined by what happens to a lot of people who acquire celebrity status. After a certain point, people just automatically think that person is "wonderful" no matter what they do or how they do it. Because it's that particular person, and because that person IS a celebrity, whatever they do no longer has any effect on the way people think about them. It's a "celebrity" therefore it's OK.
