Anyone else think Kelly Clarkson is a much better singer when she's not yelling/screaming?
I heard the song "Sober" the other day, and thought it was pretty well sung song.
Then I get to the end and hear her yelling.
I guess she's trying to build emotion, but I would prefer if she didn't scream in every song she makes.
She's got a great voice, and it's ashame she has to yell all the time.
Answers: i know.. like in never again.. she screams in the chorus. it sound horrible.. she really should stop.. then her songs would probubly sound A LOT better.. Source(s):
My ThOuGhTs shes not doing well actually i think she sounds pretty good when shes yelling and screaming. she's just an overal good singer. i like her screaming in 'Because of You' I don't like it when she screams. Yes!! I think that she has a beautiful voice, but no one sounds good when they're scream-singing!!

Maddie!! Her current work is definitely not the same voice I voted for on AI.
j The voice she has now is the same voice she won AI with. It has just matured and she's using it in different ways than you might expect to hear, especially from a "pop" star. It may sound like screaming to you, but for me and countless others she has one of the best voices from the past 20 years.

That was a 9/28/07 performance in Australia. I agreee. Kelly should stick to singing and not shouting. Its like she's trying to be hardcore. I think she's better when she screams. But that's just my opinion... i like the screaming.
