Celebrities/Third World Countries?
I have read that yet another celebrity is going to a third world country. I'm sorry, but this is the picture I'm getting about Hollywood. If you are rich enough to fly to another country, take a photographer with you that will snap a few good pictures of you holding or kissing a child, then the U.S.A. considers you a great humanitarian. Am I crazy or do you all feel the same way? Additional Details

I am not condemning all celebrities. It is just certain ones who have just screwed up their lives and all of a sudden want to look good again to everyone. You understand?

I am not condemning all celebrities. It is just certain ones who have just screwed up their lives and all of a sudden want to look good again to everyone. You understand? There are people who complain that some rich people hoard all of their money, never help anyone, and they should "share the wealth", and then when they do try to help, they get the same reaction as you. I think Oprah opening up the school in Africa was a little more than "snapping a few pictures" and the work Angelia Jolie does is not for publicity either, she truly wants to help those people. Seems like they're damned if they do and damned if they don't.

Yes, it does happen, but I think there are more celebrities who want to truly help than there are Sean Penn's in the world. I personally think it is great that they offering better lives to those in the third world countries...but on the other hand, who is taking care of the ones at home...here in the good ol' U.S. soil? it's probably for publicity... but then again if they do it at the bottom of their heart, then they're actually doing something useful with their lives, instead of throwing it all away...
