What is all this hype over amy winehouse, everyone thinks she can sing and that she is sooo great, but i think she aint that good at all and definatly not a good role model....how about you?
Answers: I like her style and music but she obviously needs help It's none of my business,so I have no real input.But I can say this,not all celebrities need to be good role models.She's not doing anythings for the little ones,so it really doesn't matter how she acts. All her music sounds the same to me. she has some good songs but yeah she is a drugatic and uh not a good role model....but neither are most celebrities Not a fan of hers she has bad hair something that should have been left in the sixty's Amy is suffering from Low Self esteem, something she probably had from the time she was a little girl. She often says in interviews that she is "no good at singing" and that she is no good without her husband. Both are not true.
Amy did not become an overnight sensation because she was not a good singer. If you take the time to listen to her voice, she is a modern day Janis Joplin. Yet, like her, she is also a drug user and admits that freely.
It is up to her to change, she is living in a bubble of lies, last time I saw her in an interview she said she had a fight with her husband that got physical, but that she as well as he were to blame. I see that as a deeper depression than even she can admit to. She is living a dangerous life and if someone doesn't help her to find her way, possibly by telling her that her relationship and the drug use are related, and so forth, there will be a short career for this girl.
I pitty people in the celebrity world who come so far to drop so fast. It is not a matter of respecting her, but realizing that the world of celebrity is a brutal and often drug infested world that defends itself with coverup and glitter. The celebrity world is so overwhelmingly critical and hard on these people that they find themselves lost and seeking anyone to turn to.
I agree that these are not people we should design our worlds around, but we should also place blame on the people who create them, because somewhere alone the lines she was given the drug that got her hooked, told she was no good, and made to feel this badly about herself.
To all women I wish them love and self worth. If we do not help ourselves to change the way in which we are headed, every woman and child will be in danger of this type of over the top depressive lifestyle. Whether it's drugs, anorexia, depression, or all of the above, women everywhere are suffering. You only need to look into the magazines and under your bathroom cabinet to know it has also affected you.

I mean sure, she may not be a role model, but then she isn't setting out to be, know what i mean? but still, she has a great voice!! something different, and as for her hair and overly dramatic eye make-up well, it's good to see she has a look that is entirely her own, she's not just come up as another manufactured "bottle-blonde, try-to-sexy-and-scutty, typical "sex-bot" artist, like we're getting so many of these days...ya feel me? I like her music and style...and not like she's the only one to have ever touched drugs i mean so people in the industry do it, ppl u wouldn't even think, are on it so why all the flack with her?? I only heard of two songs.. I just don't understand the hype about her voice. I find her voice horrid. shes ok... I really like Amy Winehouse's songs, she has a very strong voice but her look its a little bit ugly. i totally agree....she ent much of a tatlent really is she and with the hair!!! and the drugs and all the kiddies are admiring her omg
