my fiancee is extremely talented when it comes to rapping he is currently performing in small areas with limited funding it's very difficult to be taken seriously. everyone says they are "the one" but one day he'll be famous mark my words the thing is i want to know what roads to take in order for him to gain more sponsors, studio time $$$, production, and promotion as previously stated....LIMITED funding
Answers: locate record labels in the area---get him to make them a deal. maybe he can intern there to supplement for the lack of funds for studio time and production. contact local radio stations and get on their p/t promotional squads (every station has them), doesn't pay much, but maybe he can get to know some people, get his music played on the airwaves, and get known!! send out demos already made to major record labels, and call them 24/7, speak to a A&R person there. if he's any good--and has something new, hott, and different---someone will sign him or work with him as a sponsor for nothing!! no rapper is talented its not hard to talk when drums r playing which is basically what rap is Anyone can rap... the true talent is being a lyricist. Can he write lyrics that actually have depth? I doubt he's ever going to make it unless he's unique and genuinely talented. Get him to record some mixtapes and send em out to record labels, famous producers etc and cross your fingers for some serious luck.
