My crush's Grandpa, because she misses him! John Lennon, because I really think he would have been a great proponent of getting the U.S. out of Iraq. Much like he did during the Vietnam War, he could have organized peace demonstrations, written anthems for world peace, and spoken out against the President's decision to keep the troops in Iraq. I think what we're missing in this day and age is a person like John who can use his celebrity status to raise awareness for world events which go unnoticed by and large for the youth of America. Here we are showing footage of Paris Hilton going to jail on CNN, but most high school students don't even know what (or where) Darfur is- I think a celebrity like John could put these world events into perspective and cause our young people to understand what is really important and what is just sensationalized media. All of those who have rejected Jesus as Lord so they would have another chance to be saved.
