Why Do We Care So Much?!
Question: Am I the only one that's tired of hearing about Anna Nicole Smith, Britney Spears, Lindsey Lohan, The Beckhams, etc......??!!??!! I have to admit, I secret love all the celebrity gossip, but when its flooding the main news circuit, that's ridiculous! There are far more important things going on in the world. I don't want to flip the channel to CNN and hear about Anna Nicole or Britney. Did they just find the cure for cancer or devised a plan to end the war? No. So leave all that other crap for the tabloids. I am alone on this one?

I think that the only celeb news that should be on the actual news is if someone died or had a baby thats news.We dont need to be hearing about everything a celeb does.A lot of celebs do things on pupose for attention but too many are just followed around and its so awful.If people werent so into you have to wonder if it would stop?

I don't even have the secret love. I don't care, period. But CNN should definately stick to the real news. Celebrity gossip isn't news, it's gossip,plain and simple.
I agree, unless someone dies, it's not legitimate news. They have about 20 celebrity news stations for celebrity gossip. I don't want to hear celebrity gossip on a legitimate news channel!!!!!!!!

i think it's ridiculous. it's the reason i don't watch the news anymore, because it's not much better than "hard copy" or "inside edition" or those other celebrity gossip 'news' shows anymore.

Nope. You are not alone. Americans for whatever reason are obsessed with celebs. I personally could careless about what they do on the day to day basis. I thinks it sad that these people can't have any privacy and they followed by fotogs every single day! Its ridiculous. They act like Lindsay Lohan is the first celeb ever to have alcohol/drug issues. There are millions of people that deal with that everyday but she is a celeb so everything she does is being magnified.
