Why does Edward Norton not get the recognition he deserves??!

Maybe because he isn't a media whore and just plays it low key.
I think it is because he is one of those rare people in the film industry who plies his craft without the need to have a spotlight shine on him. What I have seen of his work has impressed me. There are many like him who just do good work and don't get all wrapped up in the "celebrity lifestyle". More power to him. He will have his day, if you are speaking of awards and rewards, count on it.
He gets plenty of recognition. He's been nominated for 2 Oscars, 1997 for Primal Fear and 1999 for American History X along with 15 other award wins and 14 nominations.
