Question: Most of these Chinese actors or singers as I have known them are like oriental dorks... Can't they do better than that. I mean I like oriental culture and lots of the food but these US wanna be's are pathetic. And who would want to go to China's heavily populated cites and breath the poison in the air to watch olympics? What do you think ?

understand that China has an economy growing 12 percent a year ? We are not doing well here.
We are becoming too dependent on China and this is a risk to us.
america had to shift from agriculture society , to manufacturing society , then to a technology society , now we will we have another shift coming. people lost jobs during each shift. think of the shifts / people got hurt /lost jobs and had to transition to the next way to make a living . we went from a society that never needed a computer to a society that can't perform a job without one. we've outsouced that ... what will we shift to next ? americans are strong at innovation ... we will figure out what to do next ... but this doesn't mean that people are not going to have an easy shift / transition.
China is a rapidly growing nation that should never be underestimated and that's what you are doing. China has been bitten by the capitalism bug and one day will run circles around us. The war in Afghanistan and Iraq is estimated to cost us $2.5 Trillion Dollars that we don't have, so they are lending the money to us. Owing someone money decreases a power position and China knows it. This answer may not please some, but that doesn't change the situation. Jackie Chan is an actor and like any other is interested in furthering his career. Jackie Chan never said that he supports the Communists regime.

Chan is the man, he is one of my idols and he is a great person. China is cool too but they do need some changes but the Olympic games are going to be awesome next year.
