Should I move to Hollywood?!
Question: i live in aus but i want to go to the u.s
is hollywood filled with girls who wanna be famous?
do u live there and whats it like?
do u think i should find work in aus and establish myself as an actor here. however, i am asian and all aussie actresses that have gone to hollywood all had lead roles in a movie and i know that they wont cast an asian ever. i know it
what can i do? what do u think? advice?

Hollywood is your best chance to land a job in the industry.
But unfortunately, you are Asian, which will work against you unless you find somebody who's willing to cast your in their movie, like Justin Lin, who just released "Finishing the Game." (youoffendmeyouoffendmyfamily.com). That said though, in your typical movie, you're still going to have a hard time getting into a US film unless you feel like being "hooker #4." Asian women, for the most part, get only the exotic sexual roles instead of something with substance, though that is perhaps slowly changing ("Saving Face" is a good example). Or, perhaps you'll get a bit role in a weekly t.v. series. But not a leading role, not in the U.S., and not anytime soon in a mainstream American film. Asian women still have it slightly better than Asian guys, though the situation of that lot is improving as well (we need more ****-kicking Asian guys like Agent Baker on "24" - Daniel Dae Kim).
If you go to Hong Kong, wouldn't you have a better chance at succeeding as an actress in a Chinese film? Not to say that it will be any easier, but the reality right now with U.S. film is that if you're not black or white, you're still almost nothing.
Depends on what you like I just moved from there and HATED it!People are very fake and plastic literally.But if ur into that kinda stuff then its for you.To each his own.....
Many people come to Hollywood and struggle to find work in the acting profession. Then there are others who work on and off for years but just never seem to make it big. Then you have some people who come to Hollywood and finally make it big. They end up getting the break they need and overnight an instant star. Could that be you? Well, of course! Can anyone predict your success? I'm not sure but if you work hard enough and are talented you just may make it. Yes, there are many people sitting around both male and females just looking for the big break but it certainly doesn't stop more people from coming to Hollywood hoping to make a star for themselves.
Are you an established actor/actress in Australia? It may be better 2 b the proverbial big fish in the small pond pond before moving 2 the other side of the globe 2 c if u can act. Sure, the big opportunies may not b as plentiful where u are now, but u also don't have countless others willing 2 do whatever it takes 2 play the game.
yes if you really like to, if you want to be an actress try it, just believe in yourself and dntbe shy!!!

No, don't move to Hollywood. There's all kinds of crazies out there, you know.
Don't move to Hollywood! It is a waste of your time. No celebs live there. I hated it!!!!! Everyone is a faker!!! There is no real talent there. Trust me, I would know.
