because they were both really really busy and didnt get to see eachother that much siince they were both off doing thier music things allof the time.
It was rumored that it was AJ's birthday or something, and Joe got to her party late because he was trying to get flower for her. But AJ instead just broke up with him. At least, that's what I've heard.
Joe did announced that they broke up, you can find it in youtube. However, AJ didn't say a word about it. But yeah they did break up. Joe Jonas said it himself in a radio interview but he didn't say why. its so sad.
