He was in a relationship with The Notebook co-star, fellow Canadian Rachel McAdams, but Gosling announced their breakup in the November 2007 issue of GQ. He calls Rachel one of the "loves of his life". The Notebook director Nick Cassavetes had previously said that he was surprised to see the two dating because of their on-set arguing.

Lol, I don't keep up with that stuff either but The Notebook is my favorite movie ever so I had to check! I found out that they have broken up.

no they broke up months ago...they said it was mutual and that they are still friends...I guess they had a lot of hate mail after they broke up...wierd...but they also have publically asked that people stop sending hate mail to either one.
