It was an elaborate hoax. They did set those three kids out with two cameras to make a film, but all the scary stuff was done by the directors, without the knowledge of the three. So sometimes, their fear was actually real.

Its all made up. I suggest you look at the movies IMDB page. No one ever dissapered in those woods. It is related to the Bell Witch legend
nope, it was a big deal because everyone thought it was real because the three people in the movie were making it seem like it was but they admitted it was just a fake after people were like freaking out and everything lol
It's an urban legend. Many say it is true, but at the same time, historians and actual sources still put it in the urban legend category..its similar to the existence of King Arthur, no one really knows and its most likely urban legend.
none of its true... if you look at yahoo movies it will show the actors names and if you click on them you can see that they acted in other movies befor and afer the BWP...
and no one else was ever recorded as disappeared into those woods
