Because we live in a society full of trend followers. For example if someone wear this then the next day everyone will be wearing it. The only reason people like Zac Efron is because he's "in" at the moment. In a couple of years people will be going onto the next new person on the block. Personally i dont like him and dont really find him as nice looking as people make him out to be!

I have no idea who he is. I'm 29 and have no romantic interest in teen dream guys or any guy who was born later than 1980 for that matter but answering this question got me two points.
