Just because you don't cut and paste doesn't make you good person. I am sure there is a very good reason your teacher/lecturer wants you to study this musician.
I suggest you Google and also go to your local library (or college library) and do some genuine research and discover what you can learn from some "dumb asss" musician who was gigging when you were just a thought in your dad's mind
