OF COURSE!! Britney Spears has had 7 Number One Singles around the world. She sold 80 million albums in less than 10 years. She is the number 8 most successful female artist of all time. Of course she is a legend of pop music. She, with Madonna are the main icons of pop music in American Music. In Latin pop, we have the old boy group Menudo that sold 60 million records in 18 years, Spanish group Mecano, Mexican group Timbiriche, and many others... Today we have on of the most successful groups of Latin pop, RBD. RBD has sold more the 10 million albums in 3 years!! That's quite a lot coming from a group that came from a Mexican soup opera. Changing the subject, BRITNEY SPEARS IS BACK, B!TCH!!!
P.S. She sold 300,000 copies of Blackout the fist week in the US.
She is not even in their league. In order to compare her to those artists, she needs to prove she is a survivor, and that she has talent that stands the test of time.

well considering she has sold 83 milion albums and could have sold more if she hadnt made a couple of wrong desicions then yes,alot of people you mentioned were contreversiol,madonna two many to mention,mariah carey had a nervous break down and glitter,elvis drugs,the beetles said they were better than jesus.attacking someone while they've been pulped to the ground already doesnt seem right.if she can get her self together get her fans back,sell even more albums then yeah.but when she dies she probably will anyway.
