I think that Avril Lavigne is way better than Hilary Duff. Hillary Duff is a Disney Channel star and Avril is slighty preppy with her music nowadays. But any one is better at singing than Hilary Duff. Hillary Duff is a terrible singer, but her acting skills make up for her lack of singing abilities.
A lot better, she has a great voice, she is more original as an artist and she is much hotter she doesnt look like she is in the Hollywood anorexic club.
