Why did Prince bother to change his name to a symbol??!
Question: I’m just curious what the point to it was…All that happened was that he became known as “the artist formerly known as Prince” which, first, was a real mouthful, and second, defeated the whole purpose because the word Prince was still used in his name when he was referred to it. Does anyone know why he wanted to change his name to a symbol?? Was it a publicity stunt or was there a deep, heartfelt meaning behind it??
