What qualifies you as a Jr.?!


Question: If your name is john henry smith and your dad is john milo smith does that or does that NOT qualify you as a jr?????? And also, if all three of your names are different is it really illegal to use jr after your name???????

A junior must have the same name as his father. Look at President Bush for example. The current President's name is George Walker Bush. His father's name is George Herbert Walker Bush. The current president is not known as junior.

However, it would not be against the law (illegal) to use Jr. in your name even if you name is not the same as your father's.

You are a JR only if First, Middle and Last names are the same. Otherwise this would qualify the son to be II (the second).

There isn't a law (as far as I know) against using JR. if your name isn't the same.

Hi look ppl change their names all the time, so usually having Jnr is when all names are the same .
So someone could change name to that of parent but add Jnr ,I couldn't think of anything worse that to be called Jnr all the time...LOL ?
