Beyonce's AMA's performance??!
Question: What the heck was so special about that performance? Doesn't it seem like everything that involves Beyonce Knowles is over-hyped?
She has got to be one of the most overrated artists of this generation. International award for outstanding achievement along side Michael Jackson, Rod Stewart and Areosmith. You have got to be kidding me. Who is her father paying off?

I agree! She hits some notes that just make my eyes cross. She's awfully cute though. I can't imagine her being of much importance 30 years from now like the other artists you mentioned.

I used to think Beyonce was so overrated until I started to really get in to her music and look at her for her talent and not for the hype.. Beyonce is a very talented singer and performer, song writer and everything, she does need to leave acting alone, but other than that i admire her for her talent. I think her vocals are excellent and people rarely see her for her that. The performance last night sounded a mess! lol..I did not like the country version and besides that, Beyonce sings too good to do a country duet like that. But like most, i love mostly everything Beyonce does
I can't stand Sugarland. That's chick's voice is so pushed and fake-annoying country twang. Does she actually sound like that when she talks? Beyonce obviously wanted to do something different and/or controversial but she picked the wrong people to do it with. They might have suggested it to Beyonce, but none-the-less it was very forced and hard to watch. This might have been the AMA's idea as an answer to last weeks Rascal Flatts / Jaime Foxx pairing. Regardless, it only and always comes off as a last minute contrive. I blame Tim McGraw and Nelly's colab for these not-really-needed crossovers...And why do they always point to the right when they sing ' To the left, to the left' ?!?
I can't believe I missed the show, I am sooooooo pissed right now. Anyways, I can't stand Beyonce-she is way toooo over rated, I'm sick of her father too. Let someone else have the limelight, her time is done. She needs to just go marry JayZ and have lots of pretty little babies and sit down somewhere. I think Mary J. Bilge should have won for Outstanding Achievement, now she deserves it more than anybody right now.
I agree that Beyoncé is soo overrated, but the girl has talent and has been working hard for years to perfect her craft .
She delivers 120% in her performance and it's obvious that she doesn't take her rehearsing lightly. I think Britney Spears is way more overrated than Beyoncé. She gets the title of pop princess for lipsyncing, otherwise she is a sensational dancer perfomer. Ture talent is singing live and stir the air in a room!
I think the country style cross-over also did justice to the song. they rocked!but the accent of that country singer was way too revealing! it's like we already know how she speaks!
I agree too. I have never been a Beyonce fan. I don't think there's anything great about her.
beyonce to me will be remembered NOT as a great singer...her voice is okay...she will be remembered as a GREAT performer...but i agree she should NOT be receiving awards given to greats like mj, aerosmith, etc...

I DISAGREE 100%!!! Beyonce is great...a legend in the making matter fact. Did you see what they listed on the AMA's? 130 albums sold, 160 times platinum world wide, 183 magazine covers, 23 #1 singles...granted alot was with Destiny's Child but she was in fact the leader of the group, she won 5 grammy's in one night (as a solo artist)...what is funny is that around 1998 people were saying that she/they wouldn't be around long and here it is almost 2008 and she's still around...the group was the best selling female group of all time (look it up if you feel the need) surpassing even the Supremes. Beyonce is also great as a person. Her and her mom set up a huge house where the homeless and addicts can stay. And she and her pastor are doing a food drive for under priviliged countries. People need to stop hatin on Beyonce and see the truth...Beyonce is great and if anything is underrated for her incredible voice...until you see her live you can't even appreciate a tenth of her voice and stage presence. so plz STOP hatin!
