Should we really care about pete doherty and amy winehouse?!
Question: iv had enough of these pop stars and there idolism bestoad upon them. pete doherty at the mtv europe music award showing off his anti heroin rods inserted into his arm gives him the image of a great rock star, i dont think so. he is talentless a waste of space and deserves nothing but contempt. there are bands out there who cant get a record deal but are fantastic and idiots like him still get record companys throwing cash at him. Amy winehouse victim of her own sucsess i think. she cant handle the pressure and has just collapsed in a way that so many stars do. but then again it is her own doing. unlike pete doherty she is a fantastic talent and i just hope she gets some type of help...

Though I'm now an old man, I still see the most awful images of these poor people when I read my paper first thing in the morning. I wish that they would get the help they need and that the press would leave them alone to do their own thing. I'm sorry to say but I agree with you! I hate Pete Doherty and I hate Amy Winehouse. I met her at Oxford service station and she was so stoned and drunk I thought she was a fake. She was anorexic and everything! Not a very good role model. I agree with you when you say she has talent but she's not helping her self. If a regular person had what she had we would try our best not to muck it up. i think you chose a very interesting subject.
maybe this is the price of fame. looks quite sad to me. i just hope the pair of them get t he help they need and get themselves back on track.
I love Amy's music, I love her sense of humor (watch some interviews, she's great) and in all I love her. I care about who she's with, and what she does. I know it's so popular now to question celebrities and media, and to ask why the hell we care in the first place, but in actual fact, they ARE real people. Her problems may be caused by her fame, but that's just it, they're problems, REAL problems. Just because they chose to persue a career in music, doesn't mean they don't break as easy. I love Amy, and care about her as one human being to another.

Look, my point is, it is not for you to decide whether they get off drugs/drink whatever, they are only harming themselves and no one else. I do wish they would both get off the drugs though, it's terrible to see such talented people WASTING their gifts. Yes Mr Doherty does have talent, have you ever looked at some of his lyrics? Been to his gigs? No i think not, so do not judge just yet. I myself am a fan of his and Amy's music, of course i do not idolise them or justify their bad behavior, no, never would i ever do that! I'm a fan and i only want them to get better, it really saddens me to see such small-minded twerps slating people they clearly do not know. How can you critisise someone that you've never spoken to?
I think it's fair to say that if you don't like them, don't talk about them.
The Libertines were the best band to come out of this decade, clearly you do not realise Pete was a part of this? Any sensible music fan with their head screwed on would know.
