Question: Strangely enough, although I do not live in New York, I was in a Manhattan hotel on business on that night. I remember hearing sirens around 10 p.m., but I assumed, oh well, this is New York after all. Then the next morning I turned on the TV and heard the news. It was surreal to go through my day after that.

In bed. I was in 10th grade at the time. When I heard the next day, it was from someone who gave me sh!t for liking the beatles most of the time anyway...so I didn't believe it at first....until I got to school and saw some newspapers.

Swung by by best friends house and the two of us skipped school that day, bought a bag of weed, and a copy of "Double Fantasy" it had just been released.... We spent the day smoking and listening to not only that album but all of the Beatles's music we had on hand.
John being shot and then dying was the first time one of my Hero's had died. It was kinda traumatic for me.
