it does take guts to do the unconventional but if he's totally creative and talented AND most of all CONFIDENT ----and can sing the song to a certain male vocal voice -----he should be fine ------his self - confidence on stage is what the audience will determine it by ----if he makes it seem like its normal and fine---then ppl will think be compelled to that way as well --bcuz they'll doubt their natural prejudices*

I was going to say, didn't that happen on American Idol try outs? If he can sing it and he comes across as himself he should do it.

Why not, if he has the voice use it. High schools tuff and others can be curl ,So what. Be proud of who your are! Theres not many who can sing like her.
Well of course guys will make fun of him, but I think he should do it! Once he leaves highschool he wont even care, he'll be proud he did it.
If he isn't confident then he shouldn't do it....but if he makes it his own and is confident in who he is...then he should go for it.
