Just because you don't know them doesn't mean they are unknown. Obviously they aren't unknown if they are getting that many hits per day. Maybe you are the unknown one!

ppl steal each others friends an they like the songs they hear so they send them an add . an musicians on myspace are always looking for fans .
They may not be unknown to other people!
Artists may be popular enough in their communities to receive that many plays. Radio play & air play boost plays notably (if you heard a good song by a new artist on the radio, why wouldn't you want to hear it again on myspace?)
