Jennifer Love Hewitt: Since when is that Size 2?!

Question: I'm baffled by comments that she is a size 2. Unless size 2 measurements have changed and it now means you're really a size 8 or more. I barely fit in a size 6 and I am fairly smaller than what appears in the notorious photos. I am thin, by the way, but have larger hips/buns after having a baby. I don't have a problem with healthy weight, just don't like the idea of this misrepresentation.

I just want to know how that can possibly be size 2. She appears to be something much larger than that. Is she just short and the pictures show nothing in relation to her size so it appears larger than it is?

What's the deal?

One manufacturer's size is not the same as another. A size 10 in one style is a size 8 or 12 in another...and to make a complicated matter even more complicated? Most dress sizes today are fake...and the smaller and more $$$ the outfit, the sizing becomes even more "fake." There's even...get this... a size 00 in some clothing lines. Crazy, no?

Check it out: I'm a plus size 2X (20-22, sometimes 24)...but this past Spring, I went to a fancy schmancy store in Beverly Hills and tried on an outfit. Their size 2x was about same size as a Misses size 12-14...so it looks like the so-called "vanity sizing" has even hit the plus market. Seems like NO ONE wants to admit their true dress size, and I can understand why. People get downright rude and nasty about it...and I don't see where it's anyone's business anyway. Maybe they should start not putting sizes onto clothes, and if it fits, it fits. Sure would take the pressure off of people.

If you ask me, everyone need to give Jennifer (and all women) a break. She's curvy but she is not fat by any standard. However, I don't believe she's a size 2, either. She's probably telling the media that she is because she is feeling the pressure that Hollywood is constantly putting on young girls to be as thin as thin can be. She's probably closer to a size 6 or 8...and there's nothing wrong with that.

She's by no means a size 2. Her body shape is the same as mine and I'm between a 7-9. I'm not fat, not by any length. I have hips, and an ***, and there's no way that she could fit into jeans that small. Her body is perfect so it's a bit insulting that people are ripping her apart like they are, but she doesn't seen to lie either.

She probably used to be a size 2 and is living in denial. But don't forget that the camera adds 10 pounds and there were probably at least 5 cameras on her.

HONESTLY, WHY DOES IT MATTER? A SIZE TWO OR A SIZE 10. SHE IS HEALTHY AND THAT IS ALL THAT REALLY MATTERS. IN THIS SOCIETY THERE IS TOO MUCH PRESSURE FOR CELEBS TO STAY THIN. SOME OF IT BORDERLINES ON BEING TOO THIN.
THERE IS A SLOW TREND STARTING TO COME TO LIFE, WHERE LARGER OR PLUS SIZE ACTRESSES ARE BECOMING MORE RELEVANT AND MORE POPULAR. IT IS TIME THAT A CHANGE IS MADE, A HEALTHY CHANGE.

Vanity sizing.

Many manufacturers will market sizes that are not true because they know that many women will enjoy the thought that they can fit in a size 2 even when they known damn well they're a size 8.

Ms Hewitt is right on one thing though: The focus on a few extra pounds in the media is one of the reasons why there are so many women with eating disorders.

I did see a today show segment where they said US clothing sizes have changed and someone who used to be a 6 is now a 4 and vice verse...

I saw the pics, and ,my only thought was, "Wow! Baby got Back!"

Seriously actress are such slaves to a dress size, if she was going to say anything she'd pick the lower end of the spectrum...and from what I've read size 2 is fat in Hollywood.

Sympathise with the chic!
