What one celebrity's life and death has had the most impact on your own life!

Question: I know there are many people in your family and friends that would have impacted you, but what about a celebrity?

Mine would have had to have been John Lennon. He was killed the day before I was born. So sad as he did alot for music, as well as society. I learned from his life and death to be more accepting. His song IMAGINE really touched me. RIP John.

BTW...Today is the 27th anniversary of his death.

Who's life and death influenced you?

I have to pick two because they both equally were a huge part of my life. John Lennon, naturally - it's still hard to believe even after 27 years. I can remember exactly what I was doing when I heard about it. Second would be Jerry Garcia. Even though he'd had health scares before, it just seemed like the Dead would be around forever. Being a musician, both losses of such great talent are, and always be sorely missed.

i like some celebrities but i don't know if they infuenced me, but i guess not.

well mine is got to be Princess Diana...
i jst admired her beauty and elegance that she had & above all the work she has done for the under-privledged...
i have also joined hands in making this world a better place wid an organization she was with as a tribute to her.

whereever she is God Bless her soul.

I don't know if I have ever been impacted by a celebs death - however, I think the death of Anna Nicole Smith was very shocking and sad. She was so young and she just had a daughter. Her life was just getting back on track from the loss of her son - or so everyone thought.

Even though I wasn't a fan or a follower of Anna Nicole - I couldn't help but read everything I could about her death.

I think it was more out of the fact that her daughter has no one now but her dad - I mean her older brother and mom are both gone. She's going to have a difficult life...yeah she'll have everything a little girl can want - except a mom. :(

Lennons, and George Harrisons was rough, they did so much for the world of music that is is hard to choose between them, on one hand you have a great singer, song writer, political activist, and then you have a great slide guitarist, song writing, singing, teacher of the vedas. Either one is my pick for hardest taken death.

i would have to say john candys life and death even in interviews he would put a funny twist on serious question but realizing he had a drug problem caused me to cut down a lot of my drinking i related to him because i was isolated in school not due to my weight but due to being shy and when i say him in movies i would start laughing and feel like i wasn't alone any more.

I was a kid when he died, but became a big fan about 20 years ago: Marc Bolan - the Metal Guru himself - the cheeky pixie maverick poet who loved his booze and coke, made some great and rubbish music, and was just a great entertainer and charlatan.

princess diana, cause i'd met her a couple of times. each time she was so lovely and had time to speak to you.

also river phoenix. i had posters of him on my walls at the time and i was so upset when he died

Steve Irwin. I don't usually care when celebrities die, because it's usually because of something they've done like drugs, but i felt quite bad when i heard he died because he really cared about what he was doing and he was really sincere about trying to inform people of all that nature stuff.

Steve Irwin

I used to love his show the Crocodile Hunter

I am an animal lover so I was really upset when he died.

I wanted to go to this animal planet expo thing because you can meet and take a picture with Steve Irwin, but too many people were going so my dad decided to go to turn around and go to the near by mall instead...

I was mad at my dad... now I won't meet him...

for me it's SELINA.co's she work hard to be popular and rich and get married and so near on having a child but tragicly she's been killed by her BESTFRIEND.how horrible is that?makes me cry everytime i watched her movie then play her song DREAMING OF YOU.

I believe John Lennon had an impact on a lot of people and would have to put him at the top, but I would have to put a few others in there also. Princess Dianna, was loved and it touched the entire world with her loss. I believe it was an inside job, and the world will never know what their loss has taken from it. I believe little Ryan White aslo made a life altering move through his awarness of aids, other than it being acquired through sex, and that people in their situations can be hugged and touched with out you getting it.

janis joplin and otis redding, when they died, a big piece of music died with them, just look at the state of music today.

JFK

eddie guerrero and chris benoit....both professional wrestlers belonging to the WWE....since i am a fan of WWE and was particularly a HUGE fan of those two....i was depressed for a long, long time after i heard about their deaths...it came as a REALLY BIG shock to all wrestling fans worldwide..

ron jeremy , of course

Don't know about influencing me but John Ritter's death shook me up. Such a talented guy taken in a heartbeat. So sad! Elvis Presley, I always wonder what he would be doing now. Another, amazingly talented guy taken too soon.
