Who is a bigger star, Britney Spears (before tabloids) or Hannah Montana?!
Question: Before you say this is a dumb question, think about it BEFORE Britney started having problems, I asked this question because remember when it was all Britney, Britney, Britney!!!? And now a LOT of people are going HANNAH, HANNAH, HANNAH!!! Well who do you think is (or was) a bigger star, Britney at her peak (or pretty much from 1999 to 2004/2005), or Hannah Montana (Miley Cyrus) now. Though I think Britney wins this by a landslide, though now I hate to admit it.

Depends what age group you are talking about !! With early teenage girls, before Britney made a complete and utter mess of herself, Britney Herself would get that edge. However, with Preteen girls It would go to Hannah hands down. My niece for Christmas (who is 12) wants anything and nothing else but Hannah Montana merchandise. When I asked her why, Her exact quote was " She is the hottest thing right now with her and all her friends at school" Hmmmm what does that say !!!!! I think I'll go with what my niece has to say !!!

Well i am a big Miley lover myself but i have to say brittney was the biggest star in when it was her time. Miley is just getting started and shes only been out for a couple years now and shes already a big hit with the younger generation. And i can honestly say as of now she wont be as popular as brittney spears because brittney targeted to just about everyone all ages but hannah montana is only towards younger chilldren. i guess we wont know who will be most popular untill time moves on and miley grows up.
Britney by a tonn! Britney had a longgg career before she messed up, and did alot of great work. She is still famous even after it.
Hannah/Miley on the other hand. I think that it isnt going to be to long before she messes up and turns into one of them, because from what I can tell she has it pretty sheltered at home. I mean, what celeb has an ALLOWANCE? hah. And just because she is a Disney Girl doesnt mean she's perfect. We all know what happened to Hudgens and those pics. And now Ashley Tisdale got a nose job. They arent gonna be perfect forever.
She isnt going to be famous for as long either. She started too late in her childhood and can only be on Hannah Montana for so long before she grows up. And singing isnt going to work for her @ all~!!!!
I would say that Britney is the bigger star. She had lots of singles on rotation at Top 40 radio stations and everybody knew who she was, whether it was for her music or for her gig on the Mickey Mouse Club. I only heard about Hannah Montana/Miley after there were rumors of her being pregnant (which weren't true). I have never heard a Hannah Montana song... Not yet, anyway.
It could always flip though. Hannah could gain more fame and become the bigger star.
Final Verdict: Brit had a bigger claim to fame a few years ago than Hannah does right now.
Britney Spears. She was a lot more talented and professional than Miley. She had better material to work with. Britney was just more upscale and a bigger talent.

Britney Spears. She IS WAY BETTER than Miley. Compare Britney's album sales and you'll see why. Britney was like the most famous singer when she was popular. Britney had huge world tours that consisted of many countries, unlike Miley who toured the U.S. and Europe.
