Question: What he did was wrong , but it was just animals . What about Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton they drove drunk more than once and could have actually killed a human being . Lohan got what ? 8 hours in the can Hilton got 8 days or something . Thats really messed up .

So you discount the value of the life of an animal just because they are not of the human species? And you think that it's alright for a human being to put an end to any kind of life the way that he did? For sport? And you have animals? Scary.
Why is it that we humans think we are far more superior than animals? They were here long before us... we come in, take over the world, capture, cage, tame, hunt and enslave them yet they generally remain loyal and loving to us. Doesn't anyone think an animal worthy of a little empathy???
I agree, PETA goes too far... so don't mistake me for a "peta freak"... but you are a good example of why I can do away with a good portion of humanity in this world. Your disregard for another living breathing being is part of the reason why this planet is going to sh*t with a quickness. Why??? Humans are the ONLY species in the world working toward the exctinction of not only other living species (plants and animals).... but themselves. Think about it... humans are directly responsible for all the bad things going on and with this earth. i.e. the fishing industry... if it continues as it is today... there will be no sea life left by the year 2046!!!! That's in our lifetime! THere are so many animals that have gone extinct in the wild already... then sea life, more wild animals, plants, trees, coral reef... what then? I'll let you ponder and see if you're smart enough to figure out the answer.
Ruthlessness, murder, rape, genocide, pillaging, stealing, maiming, abuse, neglect, carelessness, habitat destruction, illegal poaching, slaughter, pollution, and you thinking 23 months is too harsh for murdering innocent living beings... it's just sad. I can't' think of any other way to say it. How can you say "it's just an animal" when they can think, feel, move, breathe and react just as you yourself can??? The only difference is that they cannot communicate in english. Don't get it twisted... EVERY animal communicates... even if it's the only way they know how... and it's our responsibility to learn their communication, just as we expect them to learn our communication when we bring them into our homes.
I don't mean to bash you and I'm sorry if this comes off that way. I really am. I get really upset when anyone discounts the life of another being... human or animal or other.

who gives a sh*t what if it was dogs or horses or ferrets or little kids? cruel and inhumane torture is not ok no matter how you look at it. animal or human. if animals had no legal protection or social repurcussions, i'd be horrified to see what the results of that would be. then we can really see how civilized humans are. or how civilized they aren't. kind of like michael vick.
as for the drunk driving thing: i'm not arguing it's not a big deal, but it would be completely different if they did mow down somebody while drunk driving. you better believe the penal system is not easy on that. while i agree that more than a few hours is called for, it's completely different than the michael vick thing.
just because you have pets doesn't make you ghandi. michael vick had pets too and look what happened to them.
and yes, there are lots of people who would die for their animals. if you haven't noticed lots of animals die for us too. i don't see why you get all pissed at people who actually care about things. are you mad because your team can't live without michael vick or are you mad because paris isn't in jail for DUI? either way it has nothing to do with who loves animals and how much they love them.

He had dogs raped in cages, and they tortured many many animals...and killed them....that is bad...really really bad.
I think he should have gotten much worse. Obviously other cultures have other standards for animals but this is america, animal cruelty is a crime here and has been for a long time. And animal fighting is accepted in some places but they dont beat those animals to make them more aggressive, they do things to make them stronger and more agile. Not rape them and taze them...that is unacceptable in todays society.
Whoa guy, no body is saying he should be executed. I think he should have to pay a lot of money or something, not life in prison or execution.
Although...it takes a certain type of person to be able to do things like that...and all of his supporters just want to see him play football, if he was some guy on wall street you might be a little more affected.
