Actually her cd has sold about 500,000 which is half a million in the U.S. alone. She's sold 1 million worldwide. I would hardly call that a flop. You have to take into account that they don't add the sales from Itunes (probably because it's an online store) and with illegal downloading it's no wonder her sales aren't as high as they used to be. Hell, nobody is selling what they used to. Billboard changed the rules 11 hours before the sales from week 1 were counted. They only counted sales from a few select retailers like Wal*Mart. And The Eagles who supposedly beat her, had an agreement with Wal*Mart only (from what I read) despite the fact that people have said they've seen the albums in mom and pop stores! So obviously they were bought, resold, and counted twice. Even so, you'd think The Eages who haven't had an album out in ages (and supposedly has millions of fans) would sell more than 700,000 in their first week of sales. It just goes to show you that illegal downloading is affecting everyone in the industry! I have her new album and I'm not afraid to admit it. I think it's very good. Her new album is her most personal and even her ballads are dance tracks, which is different and cutting edge. Her new album is what Justin Timberlake's album should've been. I wouldn't count her out just yet. Her album has only been out a month, we're into the Christmas season as we speak, I can guarantee you that her sales will get better. If you ask me, if I were Britney, I'd release all albums around the Christmas holiday. Not even that, do it a week before Thanksgiving!
Everyone has a double standard when it comes to Britney. When her album sells 230,000 copies in it's first week, it's considered a flop. But if Rhianna or any of the other new artists do the same, they're instant hits! Hahah seems people love to kick other people when they're down. For an album that had little to no promotion at all, except for one performance (which wasn't her best by far) and a music video (which anyone in a day could do) she's done far better than most would.

I don't know I'm not a fan of hers but I do hope so. She deserves some form of a break considering the paparazzi treatment of her and the cruel jokes at her expense. I hope she is doing well.

Amy is right. Her CD was number 1 but some other group I don't know the name of who CD does not qualify because its not a studio album or something, pushed her to number 2.
