One is a group of evergreen dwarf shrubs or trailing vines in the genus Vaccinium subgenus Oxycoccus found in acidic bogs throughout the cooler parts of the Northern Hemisphere. The other is a small red fruit usually served as a jelly at Thanksgiving.
"halleberry!" is what berries shout when they're over-joyed.
"cran berry" is Cran's [as in the a unique group in the Irish folk-music world with their own highly-individualistic approach and a bewildering array of styles and repertoire] pet name.
The difference between the two are cran berries are good for you and Halle berry is used up and old, I prefer getting healthy then getting someones leftovers LOL
