Why are marrs volta like pink flloyd?!
Question: Sound wise they are nothing like Pink Floyd. Conceptually I can see a similarity as The Mars Volta are a modern version (and more commercial) of a 60's-70's "space rock" band.
I don't think they are as progressive as Floyd is/was. Floyd could take you from ground level to the edge of the galaxy for 40 minutes at a time.
The Mars Volta can take you from ground level to the rings of Saturn in 3-6 minute intervals.
I see the comparison that both bands are spacey, but other than that I don't see that they have much in common.
That is only MY opinion though.
