My husband told me last night about this. I told him I feel guilty not feeling bad for her or anything! I could kick myself for thinking that but I grew up in the 80's & even as a child I was a fan of Tina Turner.

I remember vividly of being on field trip and I was riding in the car with teacher. (This was the early 80's and I can't remember WHY I was in the car with my teacher and not a school bus lol) But I remember hearing a radio announcement about her being beat up and hurt. I asked my teacher what happened and I almost cried for Tina Turner. I was 9 and couldn't understand how a husband could hurt his wife.

Years later I cried while I watched "What's Love Got To Do With It". I will never forget the rape part of the movie while she was in a studio or something like that. I hated Ike then esp. because I was sexually abused as a child and later date raped for months from a boyfriend.

Being a Christian though it is wrong and a sin to hate but still my first feeling and thoughts of his death were ones about Tina Turner. I wondered if she did feel some sadness because she did love this man at one time and I think they had kids together. My heart goes out to her and her kids.

i only appreciate him cuz he got Tina on the path to success other than that? not so much!

I bet Tina is beating herself up about it....

Care less about the wife beater

Tina's exhaling right now.....

the way he treated Tina....one less thug in the world...

oh, boo, hoo. I am sorry but I could care less about a man that is a wife beater.

Don't really care.

I won't miss him

best of luck to you

Yep. He was 76.

when i read yesterday that he had died it was kinda like "wow that the guy that use to beat the heck out of Tina." that was pretty much it. I didn't know him on a personal level so no, i will not miss him one bit.

I'm sure it's tragic and all but I could care less. When I saw it on Perezhilton.com he actually had a picture with Tina and Ike and the caption read: RIP...I thought it was TINA! Now that I would have cared about.

I don't care. I miss him less than I miss Jerry Falwell if that were possible.

good..maybe he'll leave tina alone now..i saw the movie..he's an azzhole.

I am sad that he's gone and hate that his past over shadowed his work, and yes he was brilliant. It's sad that it went that way for him. I guess it was his pay back.

Yes he did die and no I never really listened to his music so won't miss him but I did see Tina Turner on her Private Dancer tour many moons ago.

As a musician I think he was great, and a pioneer, however as a person I think he was pretty detestable......At least he introduced the world to Tina :-)

well i didnt know Ike Turner but its always sad when someone dies

Couldn't care less. One less abusive idiot in the world.

I know it sounds bad, but I won't miss him even for a split second. He used to beat up Tina when he was married to her and always put it all on her as the troublemaker.

One less abuser in this world is a positive thing...

I mean it's bad that he died (he had great music) and all (as well as a bad rep) but people die everyday and the world doesn't stop for one person.

He was a terrible person to Tina!!! I am thankful that she has the last years of her life to enjoy...sorry but he was a real jerk...not saying people do not change, and it is too bad that he had passed...but I did not know him personally, and really he was no role model anyways...

Exactly, he made great music but he will always be remembered for his violance as depicted in the movie "What's Love Got to do with it"... RIP Ike.... peace.

Jazzy

I can't say I couldn't care less, but on the other hand I don't think I will miss him.

I don't really care. I'm sorry to sound rude and arrogant. I'm not meaning to come off that way. I would not be surprised if people were not sad that he died, especially because of the way he treated Tina Turner.

Yeah! Do not really care, but love Tina.

God rest his soul but that's what you get when you hurt others
