I LOVE Johnny Depp, and you're right- he has a great sense of humor. I think it's just because he's naturally talented. I mean, take Jack Sparrow, for instance. He cracks me up so often. And certain parts in Edward Scissorhands make me laugh a lot. I have to say, Johnny Depp is definitely one of my favorite actors! =D
I think Johnny Depp is extremely weird and scary. Name all the movies he's in. They're weird, and if they're not very weird, the only weird factor is him. He's covered by the Cloud of Weirdism. So is Mike Myers.

why are there so many noobs out there who only know him for the pirates movies? he's been an actor for over 20 years people, he's done SO MUCH besides the pirates....
i think people always get a misinterpretation of Johnny Depp and who he is because of some of the peculiar roles he plays; they basically think he *is* all the characters he plays, when really they're just characters (he's just that good of an actor in my opinion!). I mean sure he's a little mysterious (a lot of people are), but he does have a great sense of humor. And he seems to be such an interesting person; I'd definitely love to pick his brain, figuratively speaking of course.

i think so too! i mean, how is Jack Sparrow NOT funny! same with his other characters!!!!!!!!!!!!! willy wonka, mort rainy, ichabod crane, ed wood, edward scissorhands(kina. edward was more sweet and shy than funny) etc...
and he's funny in real life too. in interviews, people who know him say he is. he was just born with it!
He isnt the most funniest person in the worl, but in Pirates of the caribbean 12 and 3 he is, i think he was playing that character really well and hes funny becaue he is strange bizare kind of ditzy in a way and weird!
He is an immense talent and I believe he is found so "funny" because of the awkward, eclectic characters he portrays and the fashion in which he portrays them. He puts a lot into his performances and that is why they are so electric and memorable. He is not some typecast, macho, action star that delivers predictable performances... thank god!
Well,for the people who say that Johnny Depp is weird or strange,they don't know what they are talking about! I have met Johnny Depp and he is the most humble and kind human being that you could ever meet! Johnny Depp is a wonderful actor because he is not afraid to take on roles that may seem,"strange,"or,"different,"that other people won't do. Johnny takes his acting jobs in movies very seriously and he does appreciate his fans so much unlike so many other actors and actresses that couldn't give a rip about their fans.
Can I just say that he was absolutely gorgeous when I met him with those great big brown eyes and that smile,YEOWER THAT MAN IS SO HOT! I asked politely for a hug and he gave me a great big gentle bear hug,and he smelled so good too,nothing like what Jack Sparrow might smell like after being out on the Black Pearl pirate ship! ;-) One last thing is that he will stand there and sign EVERY AUTOGRAPH or have his picture taken with as many fans as possible! Anybody who thinks that this man is weird or strange has never met him,period end of story!
