Does anyone think the show 'the hills' is fake??!
Question: this is very debateable subject for people who watch it. i am a fan but i myself am starting to have my doubts even if it is fake i still enjoy it lol. such a guilty pleasure show.

I have some indications that the show is fake. For example, in one episode Lauren just got home from a bad date with Gavin and called Brody. When she was on the date, she was wearing red colored nail polish. However, when she finally got home from the date and called Brody to dish about her date, she wasn't wearing any nail polish. So obviously the producers just cut and pasted clips to make that specific scene seem more dramatic. Another example was when Lauren's, Whitney's, and Audrina's trainer (I'm currently blanking on him name...was it Jared?) was having a workout session with the girls and he had a buzz cut. The trainer guy asked Whitney if she wanted to go out later and she said yes. So, later that night when he and Whitney went out to dinner, he had at least three or four more inches of hair on his head! Did the producers seriously think that we, meaning the viewers, wouldn't notice that? Anyways, this is just something to think about...

Lauren doesn't really have the job at that magazine she works in. They go in for a few days and just film.
All of her "dates"... are just guys that auditioned for the show.

They are scripted to a point. I like the show but am so sick of Heidi and Spencer and all the BS that surrounds it. I also think that none of those girls would last a second in the Midwest doing real work.

2nd of all they are very good actors then.
3rd of all who cares ? It is very entertaining.
all of those "reality" shows on MTV are fake. just another why reason I don't watch MTV
i really think it is fake, but i am not a fan... i have only seen a couple episode when i was really bored, but what i saw look kinda rehearsed... that is just my opinion though.
