Is anyone else as sad as I am about the death of Dan Fogelberg?!
Question: He's been a favorite of mine since the mid-seventies...I am saddened at the loss of such a wonderful singer/songwriter.
Anyone with memories of his music, like where you were and what you were doing when you discovered his work?

I just finished doing a search on YA and there are a whole lot of posts about Dan Fogelberg's passing, and I actually read through most of them and the majority, like me, have been very touched by him over the years. I actually posted a message on YA last night around 11:00 after I read about it while I was online. I can't even imagine a world without him and any new music that I'm sure he would have written. Fortunately we will always have the music he did create while he was with us. My younger years are filled with memories of his incredible music. I don't really remember exactly how or where I "discovered" him - I like to think he discovered me. He so touched me. Even though I didn't know him personally, I feel like he knew me because the way he wrote was just the way I thought and felt. His kind of talent is almost non-existent anymore. As far as I'm concerned, he is one of the most gifted and talented artists of my generation. Such a beautiful human being. The world is less now. My heart is hurting.
yes what a shock that was. Very sad to see him go and so young . Loved his music too. I grew up listening to his music and others of course had a sad childhood and often i would be in my room listening to his songs and thinking of places and things I'd do. And he sang about love and how he felt he expressed him self very tenderly in his songs as if he opened his heart to the world to let us feel what he was feeling through different things.
