Jamie Lynn Spears looks like a miniature version of her big sister Britney – and she’s starting to act like her too. Jamie Lynn recently suspected that she was about to become a young mother herself, though at 16, she’s several years younger than Britney was when she had her first child.
According to Australian tabloid NW, Jamie Lynn believed she was pregnant with her boyfriend Casey Aldridge’s child earlier this month. Worried about her future, Jamie Lynn turned to Britney for help. An insider tells NW, "Britney told Jamie Lynn she'd help her with anything she needed. She promised to keep her secret and not say anything."
Of course, Britney’s estranged mother Lynne was not pleased that her younger daughter was turning to her older one. She took Jamie Lynn out of Britney’s influence and back to Louisiana where Jamie Lynn took several pregnancy tests.
Luckily, the results were negative, but, one source says, "This whole pregnancy scare has really stressed Lynne out.” Another snitch agreed, stating, “[Lynne] sees Jamie Lynn as a rising star, a protégée to Britney who'll go on to a big career. Now, she's worried Jamie Lynn's trashing herself, turning into a carbon copy of her big sister. [The pregnancy] could wreck [her] career."

According to her, she went to the doctor and the doctor said she was pregnant. I don't know about you, but I think the doctor would be more accurate than a pregnancy test. Besides, she said she took a pregnancy test, and it also tested positive.

she is pregers sweetie... i know its hard to believe and comprehend but its proven and she made an announcement about it. its sad that someone with a bright future would make such a stupid decision like that... but many teenage girls have gotten pregnant from their boyfriends. at least she didn't claim she was a virgin like her big sis did when she started her career. the plus side is that jamie is acting like an adult and is taking the responsibility of her situation and is going to raise the child. at least she has the means to do that unlike most teenage parents. and yes this could damage her career or she could rise out of the situation and share her experience about it and talk to kids about premarital sex and using protection to prevent pregnancy... hopefully young girls see that it doesn't happen to just normal hormonal teenagers it happens to teen stars too.

Britney Spears's 16-year-old sister Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant.
Nickelodeon, which carries her TV show Zoey 101, said in a statement: "We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being."
Spears and her mother confirmed the pregnancy to OK! magazine, saying she was 12 weeks along and the father is Jamie Lynn's longtime boyfriend Casey Aldridge. Aldridge's mother confirmed it to TMZ.com.
"It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected," Jamie Lynn told OK!, according to the Associated Press. "I was in complete and total shock and so was he."
Spears told the magazine that after confirming the pregnancy with a home test and a subsequent doctor's visit, she told only one friend – then waited two weeks before telling anybody else, including her parents.
"I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone's opinion affect my decision," she told the magazine. "Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me."

She told her parents just before Thanksgiving.
"I didn't believe it because Jamie Lynn's always been so conscientious," her mother, Lynne Spears, told OK!. "She's never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby."
Aldridge's mother, Joyce Aldridge, told TMZ she was "aware of the recent interview regarding her and being pregnant" and that "we are in agreement with everything that was said by Jamie Lynn."
"Everything is fine," Joyce Aldridge added.
Spears, a high school junior who is 10 years younger than Britney, had until now escaped much of the attention about her personal life that has surrounded her sister.
