Are the Spears parents as much to blame?!
Question: I am appauled at how the Spears parents have let their daughters wind out of control. I won't go into details, because I assume you all know, but quickly:
Brittney- 2 kids, various marriages (and divorces), partying, losing kids in court (to Keven Federline!), drugs, alchol, shaving head, etc.
Jamie Lynn- 16 and pregnant.
MY QUESTION: Are the parents as responsible, or do they (parents of celebs) have very little to do with their lives?

Parents are, to some degree, responsible for their kids...it's in how you raised them...
As a youth, I was never arrested, got pregnant or in any real trouble...did I do stupid stuff? Yes...was I a "typical" kid..yes...
But my parents brought me up right...were they perfect? No...
I respect my parents...they were PARENTS to me when I needed them to be...
We became "friends" after I became an adult...
That's the way it should be...
And I have always wanted them to be proud of me...
These parents have obviously done a terrible job of instilling values and morals to their daughters.
yes I believe the parents need to share the responsibility...when you push a child into the hollywood lifestyle and then basically leave them to their own devices what do you expect will happen but they will become a product of their environment?
It's allllll the kids.
Except for Jamie Lynn. Um. Hello. She's 16 and living with a 19 year old. Uhhhh durrr.
we used britney spears as a topic in my psychology class and if you think about it she has been the main earner in that family since she was 15.she has never had a chance to just be a kid which i think is a reflection of the impulsive behaviour we are seeing now.
As well when you give somebody who isnt that smart which in my opinion is totally true of britney then they are bound to go crazy with it.
as for her younger sister i dont know.you would think that seeing the difficulties her sister is going through would put her off rushing into having kids.
as far as britneys concerned though her parents never let her grow up properyl...and yes its partly them thats to blame
of course they are responsible. if the parents were there and really guiding and teaching their children and keeping them away from the things and people they should not be around then they would be doing fine. theres plenty of normal people in hollywood so its not hollywoods fault
she is no different than regular other teenage girls who get pregnant. she is not the first teen pregnant girl in the world. why is this so fascinating to everyone? also, she did not get pregnant all by herself, she has a boyfriend who helped her get this way you know. because a girl get's in trouble, it should not have a reflection on her upbringing. the best of parents have had this suprise unveiled to them, despite church beliefs, good parenting skills, etc. it is up to the individual rather they want to become sexually active, get hooked on drugs, whatever................ parents can only do so much. the rest is up to each individual. GOD gave a brain to everyone born, so they can make their own decisions. so she got pregnant. leave her parents alone. leave britney alone. they are living their lives, such as all of us are living ours. who is to judge? we are all sinners, and the bible tells us so. let it be already. they have enough problems with britney right now so we need to not worry about jamie- lynn spears baby woes.
i think the sisters are old enough to know wats right and wats wrong.... especially brit .. and thier parents should have taught them better ... but now its too late .. im 18 and 2 yrs ago im sure i would have used condoms.. just because youre young doesnt mean u should be stupid

i think that it is because they are famous. everything changes for them. when you have money you feel you can do whatever and real life stuff wont happen to you. like jamie lynn said it was unexpected and for some odd reason she probably thought that it wouldnt happen to her. just some poor people who these things usually happen to.
what i find ironic is that for her interview with ok! mag. she gets a million dollars. (500k for interview now and the rest for the first baby pictures) that is like rewarding her for getting pregnant. idk if anyone else thinks this but i see it that way.
i think the parents are about 90 percent to blame they did not raise there children right at all
