Anyone feel bad for Jamie Lynn Spears?!
Question: I mean a lot of people are starting to compare her to her big sister just cause she got pregnant. I mean getting pregnant at age sixteen is nothing to be proud of or applauded for but I honestly still think she is an overall better person than her sister and will probably be a better mom than her even at her age. I dunno what are your thoughts on the whole thing.

I feel very bad for her. I dont think she is any different than the majority of teens these days except she came up with the short end of the stick. I think the bright light at the end of the tunnel is that she made the decision to have the baby rather than kill it. She claims she is going to raise it back home rather than in California which also is a good decision. I wish for her sake that she didnt get pregnant but we cant change the past.
Hopefully she doesnt fall apart like Brit- if she gets into drugs, alcohol and the party lifesyle she will be toast. Maybe having a child and moving to Lousiana is what will keep her from falling into that trap- just looking for a possible upside.

I dont feel bad because it was her choice to not use protection. I feel bad for her parents and other relatives, if I were them I would be embarrased by them.

Everyone has a right to live their life however they choose. Who are we to judge her? I am proud of her for stepping up and keeping her baby! I am sure a lot of famous people get knocked up and just get rid of "it" to keep up appearances.
I feel bad for her... I actually feel bad for every girl or woman who got knocked up... being pregnant should be wanted... something you wanted and looking for... and be ready to raise a child... she is a child herself still... so I feel bad to have that much responsibility so early...
The sad thing is that even in the year 2007 we still criticize the female for getting pregnant? It takes TWO!! How many 'searches' have there been for her 'christian' boyfriend? As usual...the woman suffers the wrath of others opinions while the man responsible for the child is still out there having a good time, no responsibility, and 'free'.

No it's not great to get pregnant at 16, but she's at least taking responsibility for it. I know so many girls my age (I'm 4 months younger than her) who just up and get abortions.

I feel it will most likely bring a halt to her current career/show. I know no word has been official but I think given what the parents who control the viewing of her young fans will give pause about letting them watch the show th e network in turn will respond.
So if she had wanted a celebrity career/fame she may find it hard to get that momentum back. Perhaps she was thrust into that lifestyle career by pressure from others and intentionally sabotaged this subconciously getting pregnant.

i think theres nothing wrong with getting pregnant at 16 if she is ready to handle it. heaps of people are getting pregnant even earlier.
