Crushes on celebrities are pointless but fun---agree?!
Question: i mean its silly when people are so obeseed that they claim the celebrity and say they will marry them,
im not saying i dont have a celebrity crush( i have many) but i know i will probably never even meet these people and deffinitly never marry them or even get a hug lol

I think you are absolutely right...they are fun...we may like the way they look, act, sing, perform, etc. but I think they are for the most part pointless, by reasons you mentioned above. I have them as well...I think we have them b/c they're almost everywhere...in the movies, on TV, radio, billboards, advertisements, stores, etc...celebrities are everywhere, so-to-speak.
And I find that a lot of times we (humans in general) have crushes on people we know we can't have or will never have (having a crush on a married person, being straight and being attracted to a person of the opposite sex who is homosexual or a gay/lesbian being attracted to a straight person of the same sex)...I think it's just human nature.

Yea, I used to be obsessed with Nick Jonas and then I said "Well, I don't have a big chance of meeting him and even if I do, I am not sure if he could like me! He could continue to be a celeb and probably will cheat on me!!" So, people do that but then they leave them. It is better to find a person that actually loves and takes care of you!
haha, I knw what you mean. It is because it is safe for us. We know we will never have them but we can safely be totally infatuated without having to commit to anything anyway. We can make up our own fantisies about what we don't know about them and envision them as the perfect other. It's a lovely feeling though isn't it?
i do have a few, i remeber when nsync was out ,and i loved justin in I Drive Myself Crazy video, i was just obsessed , but yeah now i have a few, it is pretty pointless though

it might be becuz they put adorable cute hot sexy people on tv and it attracts more people to watch and soon to know it u will fall in luv becuz of the looks or how the act

This is a really good question... To be honest I was never into celebrities... of course i thought some were cute and all of that but i never really found myself saying i wanted to be with them or marry them. I think we have crushes on celebrities because we hear so much about them in the media or on t.v. that we think we know them personally and that somehow gives u hope even though the chances are 1 in a gazillion.
I have aways had selebrity crushes and it is harmless unless you get so obsessed that you start stalking them relentesly than you need help before you get into a whole bunch of trouble. That is not right. I have a major crush on Jason Statham from 'The Trasporter movies and he was also on 'Crank and The Cellular'. He is so so yummy!

They are pointless but they are def. fun. In my case, I have a huge "crush" on Robert Schwartzman (lead singer for the band Rooney). I think every girl wants to imagine that their favorite singer is singing about them in a love song or scoring the winning touchdown in the game for them lol. As a society we glorify celebrities and want to be like them, it's only natural that we'd want to be with them and be a part of their glamorous lives.

its just that sometimes we are attracted to certain celebrities....depending on their characteristics....

i agree with you. I have a rockstar crush (actually a BIG crush) on pete Wentz and I kept telling my family that he will marry me! ^^ And now I know that having a celeb crush is fun but silly yet you will get hurt if your celeb crush will marry his/her gf/bf.
