I just can't figure it out... why is Hannah Montana so d*** popular?!
Question: She seems to me like ever other Pop Princess that has come out in the last 10 years.... A nice "good girl" image, that we all know will become ruined because of fame... and the little bit of her singing I heard... not the best (not bad, mind you) but I have heard better... so I don't get it... what is it that makes kids like her so much (and makes parents lie to get tickets)?

i think that all the little kids want to see her in concert b/c all their friends are
and they prob. bother their parents 4 tickets and that is why parents lie
4 the tickets so their kids will stop bothering them.

The same reasons that Hilary Duff was so huge! She is sweet, like u said a "good girl" and a great role model for kids! She is so popular because kids love her show and her music! What kid wouldnt want to live a double life as a popstar!?
good question..i cant figure it out either..but it seems that anyone on those Disney or Nickelodeon channel like that becomes popular without talent or anything...and she is not pretty at all to me so really don't get it myself
I have watched her show on Disney alot with my niece and nephew. I thought she was okay. I enjoyed the show, despite the fact I am an adult. My sis paid over 100 each for tickets to see her. I did not see until last night when I watched this kid sing on the Dick Clark special. I think she is really talented and she can sing great. Dont write her off for what she may or may not do in the future. She may be just fine in 10 years. Mandy Moore was a kid pop star and she totally has her act together. Kid Stars can come out on top. Drew Barrymore is another great example.

Hilary duff was not like her. Hilary duffs show was good and I loved it. She wasn't SELF absorbed and she didn't have a secret popstar life.

My thoughts exactly........She just appeared here in Hartford, Ct. and some tickets sold for $1000.00. With more Limos than you could count. Go figure. And many of these kids were 7, 8, & 9 years old. I guess the entainment industry are getting better with sales. Remember her Dad "Acky Breaky Heart"
