I'm sure some people have heard of her, but all in all she's not that big over here. Of course I'm not speaking for everyone, but I think in general Americans have moved away from "pop" stars in comparison to their popularity in the late 90's / early 2000's.

Yarr in USA she had some big hits in the 1980's and she had a big one here not all tha long ago. But I think she was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to cancel her tour here. After that, nothing much was heard about her.
