Freddie Mercury: Since when have you been his fan?!

Question: How old were you at the time?

Answers: How old were you at the time?

I've been a fan of FREDDIE's since 1974. Feb 14, 1974 to be exact...shortly after QUEEN's first album came out. I was at my boyfriend's apartment and he played it for me. That opening riff to "Keep yourself Alive" just sent shivers up my spine! (it still does!) and that voice was unlike anything I had ever heard before or since! I was entranced! I was 18 and I lost my virginity that day! I blame it on FREDDIE!

Since I was like 11

my husband has been from the first album (dont know which one that was) i really liked them after the song fat bottom girls (which i heard at my husbands house when we were dating) and have like them.
i think i was about 13, even though im originally from england, didnt really hear them til my teens in america
he had a amazing voice too bad he is gone

I was 27. Which makes it 26 years ago. I was so sorry when he died.

I have been a fan since 1975 when the album "A Night at The Opera" came out and "Bohemian Rhapsody" rocked my little 12-year-old world.
I've been a fan for 33 years and no one will ever compare to Mr.Mercury.

When Queen II came out, I was a teenager, about 18. It still ranks as one of my favorite albums. The first 3 Queen albums were the very best rock n roll to come along by anyone, after Led Zeppelin emerged. I saw Queen at the Kennedy Center in Wash DC, one of the best shows, ever!

At the end of the show, Freddy came out in a boa and sang "Hey Big Spender" which turned a lot of fans off.....

I always prefer Freddy's hard rock side, after the 4th album, Queen became something else and their albums were spotted with songs I don't care for.... however, that guy was one of the best ever rock singers, absolutely brilliant.

I think when the song "You're My Best Friend" came out. Whenever that was, that's when I fell in love with Freddie Mercury.

I've been a somewhat fan since their first album, not a rabid fan.
Definitely enjoyed their early years more than the later years. I'm so naive, I didn't even realize he was gay till ( not that it mattered) he came out and said he had aids.
Who did the vocals on I'm in love with my car? That wasn't Freddy was it?
That's one of my fav's.

early teens

less than a year i guess, I'm 26 by the way
i just love him,
that song "THESE ARE THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES"
brings tears to my eyes everytime,
God bless him

Only a few years ago, I think something about him just touched my heart in the song, The Show Must Go on when I watched the video,
I have the ultimate respect for him;
PS. he died on my birthday!

since 2004 and I was 13 at the time
