Question: How many of us really object to it when we see someone get nailed?
I mean, where is the furore against the treatment of Brittany Spears?
Spears is provoked....harassed. And when she attempts to fight for her legal rights she is dumped by her lawyers.
The very behaviour which they are using against her to deprive Brittany of child custody is the very same behaviour they loved when it got her name in the papers and sold records.
Yes, she`s been nurtured into becoming a clown. But that was okay so long as the record companies etc. were making money off it.
And as a clown I don`t think she`s any better or worse than Federline.
Point is, she`s being bullied big time. They`re forcing her into a corner (which they seem to love to do with women stars after they`ve exploited them sexually); are threatening to take her kids; have now got her in a mental ward (shades of Marilyn Monroe); and then they expect her to shape up and live a decent life.
Give the girl a break!!!!!

I agree with you when I see how her life keeps "spiriling" out of control here!
At first I was thinking that she brought on ALL of her problems when she hooked up with "K-Fed" and then their breakup happened and her life started falling apart from there! People need to see things aren't her fault!
We need to look at a few facts and feel for the girl, not be against her! As I said on a comment yesteday about Britney on a comment forum, take a child actor who starts in the "Disney World", she's young, brought up in Fame, she is noticed, then gets popular, then she tries to live a normal life but the Media is in her face all the time!
It's hard enough to handle fame alone; all by itself, but famous people get PROBED all the time, and they are still human, so here is Britney, she met and fell for this Joker who was probably out to make a fortune off of her, but she didn't see it.................. nature intervenes and she starts a family, then this alone gives that ex-husband "Carte Blanche" to take everything away, including the kids! Espcially their kids, I add too!
In the meantime, the girl has an Anxiety and depression problem no doubt, and with her Fame to balance, life gets to be TOO much and she gets pushed over the edge!
It's no surprise to me that she was admitted into Psychiatry, with all this thrown at her! She needs DIRECTION, first of all and someone to HELP her, not make her life worse!
You gave some good examples too, look at Marilyn Monroe's life, and also look at the Late Anna Nicole!
When personal problems get the best of a person, and they don't know how to handle them, what can people expect then? Their life is completely out of control!
And YES, also the "bullying" and pushing Britney in a corner, is that big PUSH she doesn't need!
Unfortunately her kids have to live this and grow up this way, and they are the ones who suffer the most! And that Father isn't such a great influence on them from what I read about him!

If the Media would back off, that would be a great start for Britney and she can get the help she needs and find people who CARE so she can learn how to get her life back on track!
The problem is, she was young and everything got piled up on her all at once and she was starting her life in the "fast lane" and just plain lost her way! she wasn't READY to be a parent in the FIRST PLACE, then fame got the best of her, then the Paparazzi wanted to make their $$$$$ off her and she got smothered by thier butting into her life, and as I said before, the Big-headed guy she married wanted to get rich off her------------------- Darn, with all this to run a person's life, now who wouldn't end up in a Mental facility?????

It's bad enough going through what she is in 'normal circumstances', but to have the pressure of the media, and knowing that they are just praying for you to slip up or flip just to get a story, it's a surprise more celebs aren't having the issues she is.
Where are her supposed family through all of this???????
I would put the blame on TO MUCH TO YOUNG!! This is a huge reason for disallowing anyone under the age of 16 to get into any kind of industry that does not allow you privacy and pushes you in front of the whole world when you do the slightest thing wrong!
People are supposed to grow up and take care of themselves.
Brit has to take responsibility for her own future and she shows no signs of being able to do that. Pity is not going to help her now. She needs to heed the professional help she has so far dismissed from her health care, mental care and legal care professionals.
She has a brain of her own. She signed away her life to the devil called celebrity. Sad thing is that if the general public didn't take any interest in the publicity that surrounds her then maybe she would be left alone.

i dont really understand what has gone wrong with poor britney, when she was young and at the height of her career, everyone loved her, she looked and acted good and was the "perfect american girl".
the press are giving her a bad time at the mo, i agree but she knows what to do to get her name in the papers and she seems to be hungry for publicity so does it.
and now with her sister being pregnant at 16!?! what is wrong with that family!? the press should stay out of their way and let them all get their lives back on track
the only one that seems to be normal is the father and her older brother

I agree. You know the vultures are circling and when something awful happens to her they'll be so happy as they'll be able to sell loads more magazines off the back of her demise like with Anna Nicole Smith.
At some point though, you have to question the people around her, family, friends, management, and why aren't they doing more to help her out (even forcibly - like hospitilise her for a bit).
I for one, living in England, don't see why she is mentioned in the television news bulletins and all the newspapers - they should concentrate on less celebrity orientated affairs. Plus if they did that, the scummy paparazzi and journalists would have no incentive to harrass and hound her if no one was buying it.
You're right too about how it only happens to women. Although I think it is revolting and trashy not to wear underwear and flash your bits I don't understand what type of person aims their cameras at peoples crotches. You never have any up-trouser leg shots of Brad Pitt!

Yes ! she does need a break and a session in rehab before she can fight for her children. it would seem that she may not be of sound mind at the moment and the alleged drug taking must be stopped before she can be anywhere near her children.
Stop the custody battle until she is better.

Sandra, unfortunately, the press and the attention Brit gets seem to be her drug of choice. She has been given breaks, too many. She needs a good old fashioned dose of shape the he** up .....the only one who is a bigger media whore than her is Dr. Phil....shame on them both.
She's no worse off than thousands of unknown others. Her children are the ones to feel sorry for.
She is not being bullied.
She was ordered by a court appointed official to hand those kids back at a given time. She was also ordered not to use any illegal substances or alcohol. She has people falling over themselves to help her but she chose to drink & take pills, refuse to hand over the kids & one of them was taken to hospital for treatment for the trauma she caused.
Kevin obviously feels, rightly in my opinion, that she is a danger to both herself & the boys. He has shown himself to be a caring, responsible parent & he has done the right thing for his boys.

Iam probably one of the few that has no sympathy for her. i think she is a messed up overpaid attention seeker & I will be surprized she is still alive by the end of this year.
